What is MyNiño?

MyNiño is a multiplatform Mobile Application to care your child through Smart Phones. The Main objective is to give ability to parents to track their children’s at any given point in time using smart phones. This app has two different versions. One has to be installed on parent’s device to receive the child’s activity report while other to be on child’s device to generate reports of the child’s activities.

Why would I want MyNiño?

Are you a Parent always worried about the welfare of your child? Or are you a parent who would like an application that tells you at any given time where or what your children are doing? MyNiño is one such application that; when configured in your child’s device sends you reports on the activities such as SMS and Calls (both incoming and outgoing) at an interval as set by you. The Application also sends Location details at regular interval.

Can I track my Child without his/her knowledge?

Once installed, MyNiño is undetectable and only the person who has installed it knows of its existence and can access it. This app will convert into a Photo Gallery Application in Child’s device. It will work in hidden mode in Child’s Smart Phone. If the Child runs the app all pictures form their MyPictures folder is displayed.

Will MyNiño work in my country?

MyNiño works in any part of the world. If you can use a smart phone in your country, you can install MyNiño on it and monitor it. It uses Internet connection to transfer the reports over a web server to the Parents device. All you need is an active GRRP / Wifi connection in both the devices for transmitting and receiving the reports. Service provider or country of usage is not a limiting factor for this application to run.

I’m not very good with opening and modifying smart phones.

MyNiño doesn't need you to open or modify your smart phone. You don't even have to connect it to your computer. All you need is the device identification number that can be found in the battery compartment.

Are there plans for future releases with more features?

Yes, there is a new features scheduled for release every 2 to 3 months in 2011. For More Information keep visiting this pages.

How does MyNiño Work?

In the Childs device it works as a background process and at every Event it sends a data response to a Web Server that stores your Information in your Account and that can be seen later. There are different steps and ways to install MyNiño App on your Mobile. Click Here for the User Guide.

Does GPS tracking work with unlocked or jail broken phones?

GPS Tracking does not work with unlocked phones, as device token is not generated by unlocked phones. We do not recommend Jail Broken phones.

What if Internet connection is not available for certain period?
-
Parent Application - If connection is lost for certain period in Parent’s device then application will not receive the data and reports will not be generated. Data will be received after the connection has been reestablished.
Child Application – If connection is lost for certain period in Child’s device then data will be stored locally on the device and it will transfer once the internet connection is reestablished. If the time interval is longer than set SOS period – the web server will send a message to the Parent Device that the child is not trackable.

Do I need to have Internet access on my mobile?

Yes, it is necessary to have an internet connection for the application to work. Internet connectivity is the limiting factor for MyNiño to function.

How do I change Child’s Smart Phone Application Password?

To change your password, first login into your application under Child Name (of that child whose password you want to change). Then click the "Child name” and the click on “Change Password" option to change password. Enter your current password and the new password twice to confirm.

How do I Uninstall MyNiño?

You can uninstall MyNiño directly from the Application’s setting option.

How long are my logs stored on the server?
-
All logs stored on our web server until the reports are downloaded to Parent’s Smart Phone. Once the reports are received by the Parent Device – the server deletes the data.

Is an IMEI number editable after registering and installation of MyNiño?

No. The current Version does not support update of IMEI number (device identification number). This feature is part of our future roadmap.

Does MyNiño work on my phone?

Currently MyNiñois designed to work on Android and BlackBerry® devices only. New models are being made compatible with the system in our future roadmap. MyNiño will also work with iPhone; Windows & Java based Smart Phones very soon.

Is MyNiño legal?

It is completely legal as long as you own the phone or have authorization to install MyNiño on it. We do not promote any illegal use of the application and are not liable to any damage or legal matters pertaining to misuse of the application by users. Does this application violate privacy issue?

No. It doesn’t violate any ones privacy issue as we are not storing data on our web server after sending reports to parent’s device. No data is shared with anyone including us and it is stored in secure servers in USA.

What is your privacy policy?

It is company policy that our customer databases remain confidential and private. We have not, will not, and won't ever distribute any data or reports other parties who would like to use our databases to advertise or solicit their products or services. Our products do not collect any information from your phone other than the information required for the products' successful operation. Yes, we do offer technical support over emails in case there is any problem you need help with.

Does your child license say you need to renew?
-
If you receive the renew message or expiry days message in your parent application (mobile or web) while adding a child or viewing report of existing child. You need to either add the promo code sent to you by an email (as registered with us) or make a payment in case you do not have a promo code.
At time of new registration we give 10 day free to use for each child. After the trial days, you will have to make payment to access this application. Payment cost is $9.99 per month/per child. The payment can be done from parent application using PayPal ID or from the web login.
If provided with a promo code you can use it and upgrade for free. The promo codes are sent out to your registered email id. The promo codes have fixed days upgrade and are usable by user’s who receive them and are non-transferable.
